My Story
Hi I'm Penny. You'll generally find me in the studio in my sunny garden, mixing essential oils (my potions!) and preparing treatments. As a Clinical Aromatherapist, I believe in the healing power of essential oils and aromatherapy massage.
I am trained to use and blend essential oils. I qualified at the Neal’s Yard Remedies School of Natural Medicine in Covent Garden, attaining a Diploma in Essential Oil Science; and I still use the beautiful Neal's Yard oils in all my treatments. I am also an accredited member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA).
I specialise in Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular Techniques and Facial Rejuvenation Massage. I am also qualified to use aromatherapy for pregnancy, labour and post natal recovery. This, added to my experience in dealing with menopause symptoms, means I have an excellent understanding of female health issues whatever your age.
I passionately believe in aromatherapy for cancer care, having completed a course in aromatherapy for Cancer Care at the Royal Marsden Hospital. As a regular volunteer at My Cancer My Choices, a charity, I offer Complimentary Therapies for cancer patients.
My Approach
From energising and balancing to uplifting and cleansing, Aromatherapy offers a natural, gentle and holistic approach to wellbeing.
My approach is a holistic one, where body and mind are inextricably linked. This method puts wellbeing first, benefitting people whose physical symptoms may cause emotional distress and vice versa.
I always start by looking at the ‘whole’ person, assessing both physical and emotional issues, as well as lifestyle habits. During the treatment, oils will be carefully chosen specifically for your needs, and can help ease pain, reduce stress, calm the mind or energise.
The oils are massaged into the skin and continue to be absorbed long after the treatment is over. The healing process doesn’t end when you leave the therapy room, but continues at home when you use your bespoke products.
